PROJECT: LOCOS AWAY

45 Locomotives shipped over 3 voyages from Gladstone to Bell Bay, Tasmania. The concept was worked out by Project Shipping on behalf of Project Carriers for Queensland Railways. The vessel was converted in about 4 days to be an instant locomotive carrier; the weight of each locomotive being around 84 metric tonnes. The locomotives were loaded from rail tracks in Gladstone to rail tracks in Bell Bay without any outside transport required.
